These Terms of Use ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and Colby AI, Inc. ("Colby," "we," "us," or "our") governing your access to and use of the Colby AI platform, Chrome extension, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account, installing the Chrome extension, or otherwise using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.
Service Description
Colby AI is an AI-powered Chrome extension that integrates with Salesforce to help asset management distribution teams automate data entry, generate reports, prepare for meetings, and conduct research. The Service operates as a sidebar in your browser, providing conversational access to your CRM data.
Key characteristics of the Service include:
- Chrome extension — built on Manifest V3 with minimal browser permissions
- Cloud backend — hosted on Google Cloud Platform for processing and AI orchestration
- Salesforce integration — native OAuth 2.0 connection for reading and writing CRM data
- AI-powered automation — multi-agent system for intelligent task routing and execution
User Accounts & Responsibilities
To use Colby, you must create an account and authenticate via Google OAuth and Salesforce OAuth 2.0. You are responsible for:
- Account security — maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access
- Accurate information — providing truthful and up-to-date information during registration and use
- Authorized access — ensuring you have proper authorization from your organization to connect Colby to your Salesforce instance
- Compliance — using the Service in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and your organization's policies
- Data review — reviewing any AI-generated outputs before committing changes to your Salesforce data

Data & Privacy
Colby operates on a zero-retention model. Your Salesforce data is never stored beyond the duration of an active session.
Your privacy is fundamental to how we build and operate Colby. Our data handling practices include:
- Zero data retention — session data is deleted when each session ends
- Encryption — all data is encrypted in transit (TLS + AES-256-GCM end-to-end) and at rest
- Session isolation — no data sharing between sessions or users
- Minimal permissions — the Chrome extension only accesses Salesforce domains and the Colby backend
For complete details on our data handling practices, see our Data Privacy & Policies documentation.

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law:
